Connect Agents to Discord

Key Points to Remember for Connecting Discord Servers to CodeGPT

  • Multiple Servers: You can connect as many Discord servers as you want to your CodeGPT organization. ​

  • Single Agent per Server: You can connect a specific agent to all channels in a Discord server, but you cannot connect different agents to different channels within the same server. ​

  • One Organization per Server: A Discord server can only be connected to one organization at a time. To connect the same server to a different organization, you must first remove the existing connection. ​

  • Permission Management: If someone else with access to your Discord server tries to connect it to their organization, they must first remove the existing connection.

How to connect My Agents to Discord?

  • Go to the Export Agent section in CodeGPT's Studio and click on Discord or follow this link to view all applications: Here! (opens in a new tab)

  • Once you've selected **Discord AI Agent, **click on Use Now.

  • Click on + Connect a new server.

  • Log in to your Discord Account and Select your desired Server.

  • Click on Continue.

  • Select Authorize.

  • And that's it! Now you can configure which agent you would like to have in your Server and in which channels by going to the Applications section again.

  • You can see the connected servers and change the Agent from the Applications section by clicking on Discord AI Agent

Note: In this section you can choose not only what Agent to use on the Server, but also the channels you want to interact with them!

To change your Agent* Just click on the one selected by default and a dropdown with all your agents will appear.*

Here's how you interact with your agent in Discord!

Note: To interact with your Agent in the server simply type /Chat and the option; CodeGPT will appear. You will interact with the agent you have selected previously!
